Our team is deeply convinced that every woman deserves to have her own birthing box. This box contains the essentials needed to take care of yourself after childbirth, to get through the postpartum period with all the tenderness required.

Since the inauguration of the MAÏA Institute in 2020, our delivery box has continued to improve. Our team, made up of two young mothers, is tirelessly committed to finding the best products, those that will be truly beneficial during your childbirth.

WHAT YOUR BOX INCLUDES:

GOOD TO KNOW! Our box is valued at OVER $170 when you purchase the products separately. You therefore save time and money when preparing your suitcase!

• Intimate wipes: Unless you are induced, it is very difficult to predict when your baby will come into the world! And sometimes you won't have time to take a shower to feel completely clean. We therefore thought of inserting wipes which offer a refreshing effect which you can use just before your delivery. They are made of organic cotton impregnated with gentle essential oils of chamomile, calendula, rose and natural plant extracts. They are designed to gently cleanse and refresh sensitive skin, while providing hydration. They are even compostable! Package includes 12 wipes. You can use them during your last visits to the gynecologist, during your delivery, and during your post-delivery appointments.

• Perineal wash bottle: It is completely normal to be afraid of peeing after giving birth. Urinating may cause you to feel burning. Do not hesitate to splash your perineum with warm to hot water when you urinate. This will definitely reduce your discomfort! The bottle will also allow you to reduce the friction of toilet paper, since its jet helps clean gently.
  

• Perineal Spray: This herbal perineal spray is a soothing mist specially designed for postpartum. These natural ingredients help relieve and cool perineal discomfort. You can apply a few sprays after using your perineal wash bottle. The spray bottle is made to be used even when it is upside down. This will make it easier to reach places that are difficult for you to reach. You can even put the bottle in the refrigerator for an even greater feeling of freshness.

• Refreshing organic balm for the perineum: This balm comforts the perineum by refreshing and relieving. We advise you to store your balm in the refrigerator for a refreshing effect. Simply apply it 2 to 3 times a day to the sensitive areas of your perineum immediately after childbirth. 

• Organic Nipple Butter: Breastfeeding can make your nipples sore, cracked and dry. This organic butter soothes while hydrating for quick relief. Since it may end up in the baby's mouth, it is not necessary to wash it before breastfeeding. It is completely safe.
  

• Washable nursing pads (10):Washable nursing pads are a “must” for the new mother. They are used to absorb any milk flow from the unstimulated breast during feeding. They are made from organic bamboo and the fact that they are washable makes it much more eco-friendly.

• Disposable underwear (8):Disposable underwear is definitely a must to have on hand when it comes to underwear after a cesarean or vaginal delivery. Because let's face it, after giving birth, we lose a lot of blood. So why take the risk of staining your own underwear and having to scrub them to remove these stains? It's a seamless panty, which makes it super comfortable. And trust us, postpartum, you'll definitely want to wear something comfy. They're super soft to the touch and they're breathable. Our underwear is one size, since it is super stretchy. We are talking about sizes between 30" and 50". For those who will give birth by cesarean section, these are perfect for you! Since they are high-waisted, they will not roll over your incision, and will at the same time keep your bandages in place. So no pain for recovery. 

• Instant Ice Sanitary Pads (4): You may want to soothe the swelling in your perineum after giving birth. Gone are the days of diapers filled with ice after giving birth! These ingenious 2-in-1 postpartum compresses combine an instant cooling sensation with full absorption power. So you have a sanitary napkin and a feeling of cold at the same time. Super practical for your crotch. And no need to put them in the freezer. You just have to crack them at the desired time. The cold will be instantaneous. 

• Lip balm: The air in the hospital can sometimes be dry. We advise you to soothe your dry lips with this balm. With its great moisturizing power, it will allow you to soften your lips. 

• Pair of sandals: We often recommend bringing comfortable sandals in your maternity suitcase. These will facilitate your movements during and after childbirth in your room. The non-slip rubber sole will ensure comfortable wear throughout your stay. These sandals are incredibly comfortable! (Sandal model may differ depending on size). 

• Bag of jujubes:A well-deserved reward after all this work... After giving birth, you might want something sweet! That's why we slipped a bag of jelly beans in there. It's up to you whether you're going to share them with your partner...
