Regular nasal hygiene performed with saline solution removes secretions and particles. It decreases congestion, moistens the nose and prevents nosebleeds.
Nasal hygiene should be done with a saline solution. This can be prepared at home or sold in pharmacies or supermarkets. You will find a homemade preparation recipe on the back of the packaging as well as the quantities to give to your child according to his age.
SYRINGE IRRIGATION TECHNIQUE:
Fill a syringe with the salt water solution.
Lay your child on their side and place a washcloth under their nose. Irrigate the upper nostril, emptying the contents of the syringe quickly. Secretions can come out through both nostrils, but also through the mouth.
Then turn your child to the other side and repeat the same technique for the other nostril, also positioned upwards.
If your child is unable to blow their nose, wipe their nose with a tissue. If necessary, repeat steps 2, 3 and 4.
The nasal irrigator tip is made of silicone, which provides maximum comfort for your little one's nose.
